Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

Kyrie is a personal song-list app for karaoke. It's built for you — no ads, no tracking, and it collects nothing about you.

01

No accounts, no sign-in

Kyrie doesn't require or offer any account, login, or sign-up. There is no server-side user profile of any kind.

02

No analytics or tracking

Kyrie contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, and we don't try to.

03

Your data stays on your devices

Every song, playlist, and favourite you add is stored on your device and synced between your own devices through your private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. That data is held in your iCloud account, not ours — we cannot see it, and Kyrie sends it nowhere else.

04

Reading the song you're listening to

If you ask Siri to add the song you're listening to, Kyrie reads the title and artist of whatever is playing in Apple Music. iOS asks your permission before this works the first time, and you can withdraw it any time in iOS Settings. Kyrie only looks when you ask it to, it reads nothing else from your music library, and what it finds goes straight into your own song list.

05

The one outside service Kyrie talks to

Kyrie uses Apple's iTunes Search API — a public, unauthenticated endpoint — in three places. As you type a song title in Add Song, Kyrie sends the in-progress text to that API to offer a quick-fill suggestion. When you look up related songs by an artist already in your library, Kyrie sends that artist's name as a search query to the same API to find more songs by them. And when you add the song you're listening to, Kyrie sends Apple Music's public catalogue number for that track to the same API, to fill in its genre. In every case, no account information, device identifiers, or other personal data is sent — just the text of the search. This is the only outside service Kyrie talks to.
